g l o b a l - c i t i z e n.

Growing up in an unconventional household, with an extremely international outlook, has led to my ability to think laterally.

I was born in Egypt to an Egyptian father and Greek mother, and raised in Athens, albeit attended an American-International school. I spent a decade of my growing career in the United Kingdom. As a true Third Culture Kid, I am proud to challenge conventions by the developed systems thinking. This is the culprit of my fascination for multidisciplinary fields, such as computational biology, cyber-biosecurity, and programmable biology. Though I had an inclination towards science and entrepreneurship - both borderless endeavours - I am delighted to expand this to bridging the worlds of science and diplomacy!

United Nations Biological Weapons Convention Ninth Review Conference 2022

Science and Technology

Marking the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Biological Weapons Convention and the start of its Ninth Review Conference in Geneva at the Palais des Nations, I represented Bronic ltd as part of the consulting private sector.

The Ninth Review Conference (RevCon) of the BWC provides States parties with an important opportunity to advance biological disarmament and chart the future course of this increasingly important treaty.

Bronic delivered an individual statement and address, emphasizing the significance of an active security design process and the inclusion of non-traditional expertise within a scientific advisory board for a systematic monitoring mechanism of Science and Technology developments. Bronic also hosted a side event during the RevCon to further discuss how the BWC can remain relevant in the current (cyber)biotechnological landscape.
